Where is winter

I am starting to wonder if we will have a winter this year, we only had 1 significant snow back in November. It didn't last very long as we have had a lot of rain due to the abnormal temperatures that we have had. Today for example we had rain and it was 7 degrees out. Now it is great for the heating bill but not so much fun for the kids that are used to sliding, skating and skiing. They come home from school now covered in mud instead of snow. I know it is only January and we still have some opportunity for snow yet in February/March but everyday that goes buy is one day closer to summer.

Dreaming of warmer places

I have always longed to live in a warmer climate, as any of my regular readers know I am often critical of the cold weather here in Canada. We are basically living here at about 5 degrees celcious every day. I often dream of the warmer climates and wish to live in the beautiful Arizona landscapes. When I get really excited about the weather like this weekend when it was supposed to be hot and beautiful but turned into grey and rainy I start to look at sites from Arizona and dream of my dream home there in the heat. I will look at home designs and Pathway Designs to dream out my perfect home. The only hold back is I'm not sure my family would ever move that far with me.

Rain Rain Rain

It has been raining buckets here for days, now don't get me wrong it's better than the white stuff but it sure is hard to get my outdoor fall clean up finished. I am working the weekend so it will be difficult to get things finished up but we are at least planning on getting the last of our Christmas lights up.

Last Day of My Vacation

I had a good week off but the weather wasn't nice at all and none of the outside work got done but this morning I woke up to the sun shining and the weather is suppose to be pretty nice today so I got started early on getting the outside door painted. I have a long list of things that I needed to get done this week that didn't get done so I will see what I can get done today. I have electrical work to be done sometime today before my FIL heads back home then I will take things from their. We sure had a busy weekend but it was a fun one. Tomorrow is suppose to be even warmer but I will be back to work. That is the way things go around here LOL

It's getting colder out...

Today driving back to work from my lunch hour I noticed for the first time that the water was starting to freeze. This is a sure sign of the freezing cold temperatures that we have been getting. I can't really complain all to much about the weather because in all honesty it hasn't been to bad here and not a whole lot of snow. The forecast for next week looks to be on the messy side with lots of snow to come. Let's just hope it doesn't interfere with my out of town meetings for work.

Winter Storm

We are getting settled in for the night. The kids are getting ready for bed now that the homework is done and soon the house will be quiet and I can sit back and wait for the weather to come this way. The heat is turned up and I am looking forward to the return of Prison Break later on this evening. With any luck my darling wife will join me considering this is one of her favorite shows as well then we will head off to bed and see what this storm brings us by morning.
