Fighting Back

I think it is incredible how irresponsible big drug companies can be in pushing through their drugs to make more money. Recently the Drug Actos was linked to heart attacks and heart failures in patients taking the drug. This has led to a Actos lawsuit being formed for people who have or are taking the drug to help battle their Diabetes. It is so frustrating to see people that are already trying to battle one disease so debilitating as Diabetes be linked to another scary situation with these heart concerns. I certainly hope that a quick solution is found and that no one is unneccesarily harmed so that Drug Companies can make a quick buck.

Getting ready for BTS

Can you believe that Summer is almost officially over, it is incredible how fast this season has come and gone. The kids are excited about getting back and we are starting to do some extra shopping to get them ready. The kids are having a great time trying on new shoes and clothes to ensure they look their best when they return to school.

Mourning Jack

It came as a surprise when the news came out today that the NDP leader Jack Layton has lost his battle with cancer. We had recently heard in just the last few weeks that he was fighting this disease with all he had and was hoping to return to active politics very soon. What will become of all the success and growth he has led in the last few years. Hopefully he will lead them and watch them continue to grow.

The joy of babies

Topamax was developed to help people that were effected by migraines and epileptic seizures. This drug was supposed to help people and it did accomplish that but it also has been linked to birth defects for people that became pregnent while using the drug. The defects were cleft lips or pallets in the children born to mothers taking the drug. A Topamax lawsuit is being worked on by a team of Personal Injury Lawyers to find compensation for those effected by this drug. Hopefully compensation can help them find some closure and solutions to get on with life. The joy of life is such an incredible thing and to see families disrupted from the drug companies carelessness and lack of research.

The last laugh

Last Laugh

A man walks into a pharmacy, buys a 3pk of condoms then walks out of the store laughing hysterically.
The pharmacist thinks this is weird, but, “hey, there’s no law preventing weird people from buying condoms,
maybe it’s a good thing?” the next day, the man comes back to the store, purchases another 3pk of condoms, and once again leaves the store laughing wildly. This piques the interest of the pharmacist. “What’s so funny about buying rubbers?” thinks the pharmacist. So the pharmacist tell his clerk, “If this guy ever comes back again, I want you to follow him to see where he goes.” Sure enough, the next day the laugher is back, he buys another 3pk of condoms, starts cracking up, then leaves. The pharmacist send his clerk out to follow the guy. About an hour later the clerk comes back to the store. “Did you follow him? Where did he go? Asks the pharmacist. The clerk replies, “Your house!”

Spiderman the musical

I have been hearing about this for years and apparently finally it is getting ready to offically open in New York. It has been an organizational disaster with huge cost over runs and many re-writes to get things right. It sounds like it is in the right direction now and I would love to have the opportunity to get to New York to see the show, perhaps someday we will have the time and money to make the trip.

Summer time fun

OK, enough is enough, I have been waiting for 2 weeks to mow our lawn and it is still raining. It is apparently going to rain for another 3-4 days yet before we get 1 day of sun, I don't think it will be enough to dry things up. I can't wait for some warm weather to arrive so I can enjoy the outside yard work.

Poor Health Benefits

It is so disapointing to hear about health issues that are caused by the drugs that are supposed to make us better. You would like to think that the health risks would be completely checked before the drugs were distributed for use in people. I recently heard about a Topamax lawsuit that has come about from the side effects of this drug that was perscribed for relief of migraines and epileptic seizures. Topamax has been linked to birth defects including cleft lip that can be extreamly severe. If you think you might have been effected by the use of this drug be sure to contact the link above for more information on the upcoming lawsuit.

changes for the kids

We are working on getting the kids registered in their new schools for next year. It was wonderful how accomadating they were to us even inviting the kids to come for the last week of classes to get to know some of the kids and make their transition easier for next year. It seems like a great school for the kids and High school for Jay. The kids are excited about the new programs the schools offer so hopefully everything goes well with the move.

Moving Time

Well we are on the move again, it's not what we had planned for but we are trying to make the best of our situation. I will love when the day comes that I can write all about what happened to us but for now I have to keep things quiet (legally). We are working on getting everything set up in our new residence and away from our current home. Wish us luck in our move.

Cryotherapy Therapy

Things don't always work out for the best and even the best plans sometimes cause us pain. Doctors have been working on ways to make the recovery from joint surgery faster and more pain free. The process of Cryotherapy has been used to do exactly that, reduce the pain and swelling in the joint after surgery. In some cases unfortunetly it has been found that patients have been prescribe incorrectly getting therapy that is too cold or too long which can cause permanent nerve damage, skin damage or chronic pain. If you or someone you love has had Cryotherapy therapy you can take the time to touch base with the team at O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949 to discuss your options for the pending cold therapy lawsuit you might be able to receive compensation from this lawsuit to hehelp get through the pain and suffering that someone else's mistakes have caused you and your loved ones.

Puppy Behavior

We are working on trying to get our dogs to behave better, now they are not bad dogs but sometimes they just get a bit too hyper or bark too much. We bought a anti-barking device from the store the other day that sends out a high pitch noise to correct them when they do something bad, it's great and is so high we can't hear it. We are also making them sit and stay when letting them in and out of the house which is making a big differance in their behavior, there is still hope yet.

Ok enough is enough

It's now the end of March and guess what it is still freezing outside, this is just about ridiculous. It is snowing outside....SNOWING.... I can't wait for spring to hit so we can get some decent temperatures and just to see some green grass and leaves sprouting up would be such a treat. I know it will come but really it's starting to become just a bit much to handle.

Personal injury specialists

When you've suffered through a motor vehical accident it can be a very traumatic experience especially if you or people you care about are injured in the accident. You can be facing long term physio therapy or worse if there are long term injuries that will not heal with time or surgery. Who will compensate you if you are unable to work or even enjoy life the way you once did. Where do you turn to get the compensation that is due to you can be a hard decision. It can be very intimidating but sometimes the best place to turn too is the experts and you may need a Austin Personal Injury Lawyer to have your best interest in mind instead of an insurance company that is out for themselves and trying to save as much money as possible on your file. The team of specialists will always be up front and honest with you and are ready to fight for the compensation you deserve. When the unexpected happens in life be sure to look for a team that is prepared to go to battle for you and be in your corner when you need it most.

Heat me up

We woke up this morning to a bad surprise there was no hot water, we quickly discovered that the oil line had frozen up so no oil was getting to the burner. We started boiling water and it took a while but we were able to get the lines thawed out and the heat working again, thankfully now it's time for a hot shower.

Baby memories

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Reflecting back the other day to when the kids were all younger and the fun experiences we had when they were just little babies. Keep in mind we had 4 children so we had many baby moments over the years and there was never any lack of fun moments. We had lot's of opportunities over the years to change lot's of diapers and had our fair share of diaper adventures. Of course we had to deal with diaper rash on many occasions and one of our favorite weapons to help with diaper rash was Boudreaux's Butt Paste, it has a special formulation that was designed by a pharmacist with a direction from a pediatrician so you know it is good product. It has even been seen on some of the most respected shows from Oprah to the Today show. If you would like to try out some Boudreaux's Butt Paste for yourself you should visit their website by clicking the link above to take advantage of special offers for free samples for you to try it out without any investment. The really great thing about this product that I enjoyed was it's convenient sizes that allowed us to have a jar at home while keeping a smaller tube in the diaper bag to save space and be more convenient to travel with.

Call me cookie

The kids found a special box of coconut cookies in the cupboard the other day and weren't long enjoying them. Blake said he really liked the milky center not realizing it was coconut, which is probably a good thing. Anyway everyone is having a great time eating the cookies and I have to admit, even I who is not a coconut fan enjoys the smell of the cookies, I haven't had the guts to try one yet but they sure smell good.
