Today was our first snow, and while it didn't really amount to an great amount of snow it was also our pup's first experience with the cool white stuff. She was very timid when first going out but once she got the hang of it she couldn't be convinced to come in. The kids where just as bad as her when they got home from school and they headed to the back yard for some fun too. Wondering what she will think when we get some serious amounts of snow built up for my little winter princess.

I'm not sure I'm impressed

What... Snow?
I thought Spring had arrived but last night the wind picked up and this morning we woke up to the winter wonderland. Oops I mean winter messyland, it snowed about 25 cm overnight and changed to rain this morning so it's going to be a heavy job cleaning up the driveway this morning, Jay and I are getting a little breakfast in our belly's and then heading out to get the job done.

The snow hill is calling!
Well with winter officially here the kids received new sleds for Christmas and they are excited that there is finally some snow down on the ground. Not far from us is a hill that everyone uses to catapult down so we are planning on making a trip down there in the near future for some fun. Driving by it looks pretty steep so I'm guessing it will be a quick ride down...better hold on tight kids it could be a bumpy ride!

Back Home
After a long visit out of Province with family it is nice to finally be back home and slowly getting things back to normal. We have had lots of snow to deal with over the past few days but the kids are excited to have lots of snow for sledding. Now what comes next? I'm back to work and the kids are off to school tomorrow and then we will start seeing things settle down. It was a great Christmas and I am looking forward to what this new year will bring.

let it snow!
This year it seems as though there is never any snow, usually we get a little by now but everytime it has snowed it has rained or warmed up right after and melted away. We are away on a mini vacation for new years and it snowed today. I was thinking ahead and packed the kids snow suits and sleds and they were excited to break those out today. We all had a great time out in the snow sleding, shoveling and just generally horseing around. What a great day, now it's evening and the snow has turned to rain so I'm guessing the snow will be gone or iced up in the morning but we made the most of it today for sure.
