Where has the summer gone

Today we emptied and cleaned out the pool, the kids are getting ready for back to school, we are tempted at night to turn the heat on because it is getting cold, the apples are falling out of the tree. These are all signs that summer is over, and boy did it go fast this year. I think it was taking 2 weeks of vacation the first of August because once we got back it has been a fast couple of weeks getting everything caught up at work and home. It was a fun summer none the less and it makes me look forward to next year.

The Honeymoon

The one big regret my wife and I had from our wedding is that we didn't take a proper honeymoon. We always said that we would at some time catch up on this and make up for it. Having just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary many things have gotten in the way but we are starting to plan for the next couple of years to take a trip to somewhere hot and are looking at cancun hotels with all the finest accomadation features and activities to keep us entertained. We are looking forward to some fine dining and romantic adventures. We have many years to make up for and now with the kids getting older it is easier for us now to leave them with someone else for a week or two.

The Vacation Home

Here is our vacation home tent, it's big which is good for us when our main vacation trip is a week long trip to the beach with the 6 of us, you need room to move, sleep and hang out if it rains. I enjoy the over-all height it's not just tall in the middle but all around so you can stand up anywhere.

School year almost over

The kids are finishing up their last full week of school, the year has gone so fast it seems like just yesterday they were starting. Now is the time to start getting ready for some warm days, ummm maybe they will come. It will be nice to not have to worry about school lunches anymore. To make a lunch that is healthy and they will eat was a challange some nights for sure. Anyway we will now be getting ready for a nice break.
